Terms & Conditions

Rhino Adventure Treks is a Private Limited Company under the laws of Nepal Government, and accepts your reservations and bookings under the following terms and conditions. Before confirming your trip, we recommend that you read the following terms and conditions.

Payment Policy
All prices are quoted in US$. However, payment can be made in local currency at the current rate against US$. Payment can also be made in US$ cash, Travelers Cheques, through Visa and Mastercard, or via Paypal. Please note, you will incur a surcharge of 4% when payment is made via credit card. We request that a deposit of 30% the total cost be made at the time of booking, or no later than 10 days before your departure date. Your place on any trip will not be guaranteed unless the deposit is paid. Payment of the balance is required at least seven days before the trip departs.

Cancellation by client
In case of client cancellation, 50% of the deposit is refundable only when notice of the cancellation is given to Rhino Adventure Treks no less than seven full days prior to departure from Kathmandu.

Changes to your departure date will be charged at US$50 per person. Last minute cancellations or absence at the arranged departure time are ineligible for refunds.

If you leave the trip midway, Rhino Adventure Treks will not be held responsible for your safety after your departure, and will be unable to provide a full or partial refund.

Cancellation by agent
Rhino Adventure Treks reserves the right to cancel any trip without prior notice. In such cases, clients will receive a full refund.

Trip alteration or termination for reasons beyond our control
During a trip in progress, itineraries may sometimes be affected by reasons beyond the control of Rhino Adventure Treks. In such cases, Rhino Adventure Treks has the right to alter itineraries or cut short trips in accordance with its policies on safety, as well as practicality or logistics. In such circumstances, Rhino Adventure Treks is not liable and will be unable to offer refunds.

Personnel affirmation and agent's risk disclosure
Mountain treks and expeditions, jungle tours, adventure sports and all forms of transportation come with elements of risk and danger. Clients are required at all times to comply with the recommendations of Rhino Adventure Treks guides, and may be asked to leave their expedition if they refuse. Accidents or illnesses in remote regions with little or no medical facilities can be serious, and we ask that clients consider carefully their health, fitness and ability to complete a proposed itinerary before booking. The agent shall not be responsible for injury or illness in the following circumstances:

  • Illness caused by the client's inherent health condition.
  • Illnesses contracted during the client’s stay in Nepal.
  • Accidents caused by forces of nature.
  • Accidents caused by refusal to comply with guide recommendations.
  • Accidents caused by any other reasons beyond the control of Rhino Adventure Treks.

Insurance
Personal travel insurance is not included in the prices quoted by Rhino Adventure Treks. While every effort is made to ensure the safety of all participants, it is a condition of booking that you take out a personal travel insurance policy prior to travel. To protect against unforeseen circumstances, it is advisable to buy a trip cancellations and medical insurance policy before your arrival into Kathmandu. Such medical policies should cover transportation costs in the event of helicopter or surface evacuation. Medical coverage is mandatory for those who are trekking in high altitudes.
