Pashupatinath:

This holy temple is the house of Lord Shiva who is  God of all gods.There is a saying why Lord Shiva chose this temple and Slesmantak jungle nearby as His residence.  This temple is one of the holiest temples reverred and worshipped by both Hindus and Buddhists around the world. Visitors can see the phalli, Shiva lingas as the symbol of potency and fertility, in and around the temple area.  The area of this temple straddles the Bagmati river which is regarded as the holiest rever by Hindus and Buddhists.  But unfortunately, the river has been spoiled by the dirt deposited by people living nearby.  Visitors, with their naked eyes, can see the cremation of the deceased bodies on the banks of Bagmati river.    
This is holiest temple of the world revered and worshipped both by Hindu and Buddhist. It straddle the Bagmati river which depends its filth is held by conservative Hindus to be the holiest. The most sacred of all death body crimination in front of your eyes.

Boudhanath Stuppa:

It biggest stupa in Nepal. The Tibetan name of stupa is Jyarung Khasyor.The Great Stuppa of Boudhanath stands approxmately 6 km North East from centre of Kathmandu valley. Surrounded by hills,Boudhanath stuppa is a jewel point in the center of a natural mandala, a store of sacred energy. It is one of the most important place of pilgrimage for the Buddhist. In the past, when the trade routes to central and western Tibet were fully open, traders ,pilgrims and travellers sought blessing at the stuupa for passage over the mountain passses and gave thanks to it upon arrival in Kathmandu valley.

Swayambhu:

Swayambhu away from the noise and pollution of the city is the 3km away from the city centre. Owing to its unique architecture and historical value, it is listed as one unison world heritage sites. Swayambhunath is worshipped by Buddhists and is popularly known as the "MONKEY TEMPLE" to tourists. Main attractions are butter lamps, prey wheels, pray flags and mantras.

Patan durbar Square:

Patan is considered as oldest city is located on the high plateau above the course of the Bagmati River just south of Kathmandu. patan from ancient to modern time is known by different names- Ashoka pattan, Yala, Yapagram, Manigala, Lalit, Patan lalitpuri, Lalitpur etc. Lalitpur means the beautiful city. Some times it is also called the town with thousand golden roots or the city of fine arts.

Bhakatpur Durbar Square Boats one of the Nepal’s proudest artistic achievement the golden gate plus the national art gallery. The aquaria enjoyed one brief, magnificent, renaissance Buddha in 1992 when it was used as the location for many of ancient flash back sconces’.

Changunarayan:

It is one of the most important movements of the Katmandu valley, situated 18 km east of Katmandu city and standing 1541 meters above sea level, this is one of 7 world heritage on unseal world heritage site in 1979. The giant scripture carved in pillar is said to be the olds of all scriptures found in Nepal, proving changunarayan to be the oldest temple in the valley.

Panauti:

It is thriving village of the road to dhulikhel with some lovely temples and interesting old house, particularly wooden and beautiful are some 14th century wooden temple struts.

Lumbini:

The birthplace of lord buddha lies in the plains southwest of kathmandu. It is a sacred place for Buddhist from all over the world, standing on equal footing with holy places sacred to other world religions. AS millions of Christians look to Jerusalem for inspiration as millions of Muslims turn to Mecca, so do three hundreds million Buddhist visit lumbini.

Manakamana:

The temple of Manakamana, a very popular pilgrimage site in Nepal, lies 125km to the west of Kathmandu. The deity is one of the manifestations of the Hindu goddess bhagwati who is believed to have the power to fulfill wishes situated a top 1,302m hill, it is a steep three hour hike from above Khaireni of Katmandu-Gorkha highway. A cable car is also available to visit Manakamana.
