  • Grade : ChallengingItineraries with this rating will at times be difficult, but if you are in reasonably good physical condition and work out regularly, you shouldn't struggle too much. Most trekking days will last five to six hours, but there may be times when this will be pushed to eight or higher.
  • Trip Mode : Tea House This is a relatively cheap way of experiencing Nepal’s mountainous regions, where meals and accommodation are provided at regular intervals along the route. This is probably the most popular method of trekking, as it provides basic accommodation and nutritious food, without having to brave a night’s camping while simultaneously not blowing your trip’s budget.

Although relatively easy compared to some of the region’s other options, the Everest trek via Jiri will still take you along high trails, including to the Tengboche Monastery (3,850m).

This trek serves as a great introduction to Sherpa country and its culture, and will guarantee great mountain views.

Trip Detail

 

  • Day 01: Arrive at Trivuwan International airport in Kathmandu, transfer to the Hotel.
  • Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Shivalaya via Jiri by Express public bus (1767m, 9/10 hours driving).
  • Day 03: Trek from Shivalaya to Bhandar (2000m, 6/7 hours walking).
  • Day 04: Trek from Bhandar to Sete (2500m, 6/7 hours walking).
  • Day 05: Trek from Sete to Junbesi (2675m, 6/7 hours walking).
  • Day 06: Trek from Junbesi to Nunthala (2345m, 5/6 hours walking).
  • Day 07: Trek from Junbesi to Kharikhola (2194m, 5/6 hours walking).
  • Day 08: Trek from Kharikhola to Paiya (2890m, 6 hours walking).
  • Day 09: Trek from Paiya to Phakding (2610m, 6/7 hours walking).
  • Day 10: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazar (3440m, 5/6 hours walking).
  • Day 11: Rest day in the same place for the acclimatization.
  • Day 12: Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3867m, 5 hours walking).
  • Day 13: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4358m, 5 hours walking).
  • Day 14: Rest day in the same place for the acclimatization.
  • Day 15: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4900m, 5 hours walking).
  • Day 16: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5100m, 3 hours walking) and Visit to Everest Base Camp (5364m, 5 hours walking).
  • Day 17: Visit Kalapattar (5550m) early in the morning for the close view of Everest and then trek back Pheriche (4200m, 6 hours walking).
  • Day 18: Trek back from Pheriche to Namche bazaar (3440m, 6 hours walking).
  • Day 19: Trek back from Namche to Lukla (2828M, 7 hours walking).
  • Day 20: Fly back from to Kathmandu by flight (30 minutes) and then drive to selected hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Day 21: Free day in Kathmandu for your own activities.
  • Day 22: Departure from Nepal.
