Trip Facts

  • Grade : ChallengingItineraries with this rating will at times be difficult, but if you are in reasonably good physical condition and work out regularly, you shouldn't struggle too much. Most trekking days will last five to six hours, but there may be times when this will be pushed to eight or higher.
  • Trip Mode : Camping For those of you looking for a more rough-cut experience, camping is the way to go. You will trek as normal during the day, before arriving at a pre-determined campsite, where our staff will have walked ahead to in order to set up camp. Here, you’ll sleep in modern tents and eat alongside your guide, with simple food prepared by the cooks.

Dhampus peak situated in the Dhaulagiri range is becoming one of the popular peaks in the area. This is not a technical peak however may need to be acclimatized before you try to ascend it. Before ascending the peak, a trek to Thorang Pass (5416 m.) is advisable which helps you to be acclimatised .

From Pokhara, you may take a flight to Jomsom (2250 m.) and make a side trip around for acclimatization propose or alternatively you can trek from Nayapul to all the way Tukche (near Jomsom) via Ghorepani poon hill area.

  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
  • Day 2:  Kathmandu (1300 m): Sightseeing and Preparation
  • Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara and drive to Darbang 1110m via Beni by private car.
  • Day 4: Darbang to Sibang 1780m, .
  • Day 5: Trek form Sibang to Muri 1720m.
  • Day 6: Muri to Boghara 2080m.
  • Day 7: Boghara to Dobang/Dobban 2520m.
  • Day 8: Dobang to Choriban 3445m.
  • Day 9: Choriban to Italian Base Camp 3660m.
  • Day 10: Acclimatization Day.
  • Day 11: Italian Base Camp to Glacier Camp 4200m.
  • Day 12: Glacier Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp 4748m.
  • Day 13: Acclimatization Day.
  • Day 14: Dhaulagiri Base Camp to Hidden Valley 5180m via French Pass 5360m.
  • Day 15: Hidden Valley to Dhampus High Camp 5400m via Dhampus Pass 5258m.
  • Day 16: Summit from High Camp to Dhampus Peak 6012m and back to Alu Bari 3900m.
  • Day 17: Alu Bari to Jomsom 2720m via Marpha 2670m.
  • Day 18: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara and flight back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
  • Day 19: Free day for shopping in Kathmandu, overnight in Hotel.
